THIS PLACE IS A *** JOKE
Long story short I bought the car of my dreams from here, that was until it blew up I was in a coma for 2 months! *** this place!! This is not a joke. The car drove great until I got out of the lot and drove about no joke 12 feet and the engine started to smoke. So I pulled over the 2007 Yukon to see what this *** Glen did to me. So I opened the door and BOOM..! The car blows up taking off one of my fingers and I almost died. I was in a coma for a year! *** THIS PLACE!!

I bought a 1998 Dodge neon low miles cause I needed a car for work and was desperate it dove like a dream until I got it off the lot it was supposedly inspectable due to the sticker was only days old but I was driving it and it started to rain much to my surprise my lights go out I knew they had just replaced a rear light but I wasnt prepared for what I later found out I took it back 4 time to still not have the problem fixed so finally I had a different machanic look at it and found out when they replaced the light the crossed the wires and fried my wires throughout half of my car and had I kept driving it that way I could have blown up my car kids and all cause it didnt affect my lights until it rained so I would know sometimes days even weeks that the problem wasnt fixed

Look around before going to Bangor Car Care!
Before buying a car from this place, look around! There are other place's that do "buy here, pay here" and actually do in house financing! We went here once and that was all it took! We checked out other places in the state and ended up buying a car from Lewis Auto in Bangor. Excellent to deal with and helped us out a lot! Also there is a place in Lewiston, Perks Auto. Just because you have poor credit, don't think that because you live near this guy you have no other place to go! The only way to get him to go out of business for good is to Stop Buying his cars. Do yourself a favor, take your "Party" some place else! If people would stop going there, he'd have No business!

The Worst Experience I've Ever Had
I went to BCC because I really needed a car to get to work. i went there and I found a 01 Santa Fe n loved it but it wasn't serviced yet but i knew that santa fe were nice and that i really wanted one they were nice cars and it was Automatic 4 wheel drive, it fit all the things i was looking for in car. So i bought it, they told me that they might be able to get it but throw the shop today so i could take it home. I live 1 hour away and wasn't going to be able to make it up the next day. So i waited around for 4 hours for it to be done and then i ended up calling and they said it wasn't going to be ready until the next day, Friday. So the next morning i called to see if it was possible to get my car because my manager was letting me off early to specifically to get my new car. they said it wouldn't be ready call tomorrow. So i called the next day and i left 2 messages and called the service department 6x and then i finally got someone in the sales department told me that the service was closed on saturday. Call monday. Monday came i called and they told me it needed a factory part for the car they were waiting and it would be in latest wednasday. So i called Wednasday, left messages, called 3 or 4x no one called me back on the day they told me it would be finished. i called thursday and i demanded to know when my car would be done they said it needed a starter it would be in monday. No one called me back all the times the i called monday and tuesday. Wednasday i went in with my mom and i demanded me car or i was canceling my loan and wanted my down payment back. and they told me it would be ready. So i went in to get the car and it wouldn't start to made an awful grinding sound. i lost it. i told them i was done with them, then the owner came out and told me i could take the 02 santa fe its the "same thing a year newer" they just got in for the same price. and it would be done tomorrow So the next day xmas eve i picked it up. 49 days later the timing belt broke and the engine seized, and the transmission failed. BCC and the Warranty Company refuse to fix it. and to fine out the my car wasn't 4 wheel drive. i would have never known because its supposed to be automatic. The Worst PEOPLE!

Three weeks of absolute ***.
We went to BCC to look for a truck for my husband. Yes, I read a couple reviews but people can be a little over the top sometimes so we just took the 1.5 hour drive and looked. Hubby found just the truck he was looking for and we talked about it then agreed to buy it. I put $2000.00 down that day. Were they professional? No. Was it a huge deal to me at this point? Again no. I was told the truck would be delivered within 2 days. Then the BS began. I called and was told that the truck was still being checked over and it would be a couple more days 17 times. I left 22 messages and 2 emails that were never returned. I spoke with someone via phone 63 times. Where did this all get me? Nowhere. (Yes I am exacting and yes I kept track) The crux of this issue was that there was a part that they couldnt find used and a new part would be $1200. Im sorry but I entered into a contact and whether it cost 2 or 1200 is immaterial. So...I give up and call, leaving a message (again) that I am coming (another day off from work) to void the contract. When I arrived, they rushed to tell me the part was ordered and the truck would be delivered on Wednesday. I take another deep breath, compose myself, and agree. I get a call on Wednesday that the part came in just that day and the truck is fixed. Hurrah! I'm told that it will be delivered tomorrow morning first thing... It's Thursday, 4:45 pm, my husband sat at home all day long and they just dropped it off a half hour ago at my work because they couldnt follow the directions on the folder. *sigh*

So there is no confusion for the last pro bangor care care blogger to post on this page, I Do have a job, I pay my taxes, I dont live off the state and I too have been screwed by bangor care care. 1999 buick century sold in 2008 booked for $3000. BCC sold it to me for $8000 after Financing. I figured that was extream but you get what you pay for right? WRONG! Tranny had trouble 3 months after I purchased it not to mention the check engine lights and electrical trouble. Some of the cost to fix the tranny was covered on there "%100 bumper to Bumper" warrenty. But even so a month after the warrenty expired teh tranny broken completely. Mind You I still had a year left of payments on this overcharged car. I had to have the rear brake lines, Muffler and rocker panels replaced all due to exvesive rust. Dont you think they might have seen all that if they did the through inspection they claim to do on every car. Even the radiator mount has rusted away and my radiator is now being held in with rope. Dont say its not the dealers fault. If there are so many complaints then they should buy there cars from someone else. Its not a matter of people complaining about BIG business. BCC isnt selling to people who are well off. They are selling to people who live check to check. If I had any credit (wich having none is worse then bad) I would go to somone else. But I cant. BCC knows this. It doesnt matter what happens to us. They got there contract signed and they get paid regardless. In the end the buyer is the only one that gets screwed. either we pay the over charged price of the vehicle and fix all there problems, we return the car and they clean it and rip somone else off, or we return the car and they ruin us by sending us to collections. Bangor car care is pure Evil. Glen If you had to pay back %1 of the total damage you have done to people by selling them you overpriced junc you would be in debt for life. Your a criminal. YOu should be financially criplled so you can never again open a business where you ruin people lives. YOu ***

I will not rest until this man is in financial ruin. I bought Glens wifes Denali...what a POS. Had problems the day we got it. Brought it back to their shop, they had it for 12 hours...broke down before it left the parking lot.
The mother of my child bought a Pacifica which would two months later be described by the Chrysler dealership as "scrap metal". A bunch of rude, ignorant *** this place needs to be shut down.

Ripped me off and dammaged my credit
we bought a car from bbc too and on the way home we had to call them after going through the car wash to come give us a jump because the battery was junk well they brought us a used battery then within the week the power steering went but they said they wouldn't fix it because it wasn't an inspectable part well after fighting with them the did end up fixing in but in the mean time the transmission started slipping really bad i called them right away they wouldn't touch it so my hands were tied a month later the transmission just about blew up i called them and told them to come get the car it took them a week to get it i left it right on the side of the road i was so pissed well then i went to get a copy of my credit report and there it was i cant get a loan anywhere now i cant even get a walmart card because of them!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't agree. If you have a dealer that is putting state inspections on a vehicle they are required to have run it through a rigorous inspection.
If your vehicle is found out to not be in a passing condition, contact the state police. The dealer is agreeing to abide by Maine laws by issueing an inspection sticker, if it is given fraudulantly the license will be revoked.

Bangor car care RIPPED us off
i bought a car from Bangor car care and in less then 48 hrs it broke down, i called them and to tell that it wouldn't start. they wanted to know if i had AAA and i said no they asked if i could borrow AAA from a friend and i told them no, then she wanted to know if my insurance would cover it, i told her no..then she to me what do you want me to do about it..and mind you i live 2 hrs away, i told them what needed to be fixed and it wasn't done..when the girl talked to me like that on the phone i was very upset and told them that i wasn't paying anymore money and i called my bank to stop payments..i don't think they thought i would do that..with 13 days the front tires were bald. Parisian called me about the payments i tried to tell them what was going on and they just said i wasn't telling the truth. so i told them to come and get the car ----- and this is the short version

I also have bought a vehicle from BCC and was ripped off. It was August of 2011 and waited 45 days before i was able to get my vehicle.
They kept telling me that the truck needed parts from the dealer and it was gonna be awhile before they were able to get the vehicle to me. I kept calling them day after day and the same problems as everyone else on here is that the customer service was rude, the sales people were very rude. I would NOT buy another vehicle from these people. My vehicles book value is set at $8500...after finacing fees and price of vehicle i am paying about $15,000.
Talk over paid and got screwed. I agree NO ONE should even think about going there. They are all nothing but a bunch of crooks. Why do you think they keep changing there company name?
Because people keep getting screwed over. Please DO NOT go here. My motor in the truck now is knocking and they will not do anything about it. It started knocking about 3 weeks after i took possestion of the truck.
The electrical is messed up.
I gave them the deposit for the truck and again they said it will be about 10 days before i could have it. Think twicw about going there.

Bangor Car Care- Junk Cars
We bought a car in 8/2007-From day 1-nothing but problems.. Everytime we took it in to be fixed they were very rude and never actually fixed the real problems. Tired of always dumping money into this car-we called and told them to either fix it right or give us something else.Well they gave us another car-1999 Dodge,3 weeks ago and GUESS WHAT? lots of problems with this car too..Twice we have been unable to drive it due to serious problems.. We call them-they say get it here-we'll fix it. Well we live 1 hr away ,kinda hard to get it there when you can't drive it-So tow it.Ya I have money to do that. They are very rude and dishonest. This car is going back and getting shoved up ther ----s!!! Paying 9,000.00 for a car thats a peice of ***.
